BURLINGTON, Vt. The Maine track and field teams kicked off the 2014 America East track and field championships with a strong first day, highlighted by its field athletes, namely the throwers, in Burlington, Vt. Junior Wilson Adams America East hammer throw school record and conference title during the day, sparked a fifth place finish for the men while the duo of Jaclyn Masters and Emily Boardman combined to help Maine to a sixth place finish at the end of day one for the women.
